Our all time favorite bakery/cafe which makes excellent bagels and other baked goods. Everything is 100% gluten free and they have seating to enjoy your sandwich or pizza on the spot. Thers’s two locations, one in UWS and one in Chelsea.

Popular spot in Hell’s Kitchen for good GF pizza. All the food on the menu can be made gluten free. The restaurant is not 100% GF but they’re very knowledgeable about cross contamination and have a separate oven for GF pizza.

Our favorite Chinese restaurant. All their dishes can be made gluten free, they have a separate kitchen for GF. They’re “the place” where celiacs go, so they get a bit annoyed when you’te the millionth person to ask them about cross-contamination.

Sister restaurant right next to Modern Bread & Bagel. They’re super busy so it’s good to come armed with a reservation. They’re “plant-first”, most of the dishes can be made with either meat of vegan ingredients. And everything is of course gluten free!

Erin McKenna’s bakery has been our safe haven for a while. Her creations are both 100% GF and vegan, but that doesn’t mean they’re not delicious.
UPDATE 10/11/2024: Sadly, Erin McKenna’s Bakery closed their shop in NYC. You can still order online so not all hope is lost.

Amazing fully GF grocery store and bistro. Besides all sorts of pasta, crackers, buiscuits, sauces, condiments etc., plus freshly baked pastries, cakes and pies, they also have a hot bar where you can get lasagna, meatballs, latkes, pizza and more. Watch out, there are two stores across the street from each other, one is 100% GF and one is not.
